Spank rims are purely cosmetically pleasing and that's it, they are not pinned or screwed together at the seams and genrally a crappy made wheel, although the rest of their products are great. My local bike shop here in Kamloops stopped carrying the spank rims due to the poor quality but spank as a company has great products, just not rims.

nope, not at all man, just what ive seen and been told personally, I love their products, wasn't trying or meaning to offend you, A good friend of mine here rides for spank also, and wont ride their rims for big mountain riding anyways, they would probably work great for dj...., the rest of their products are top shelf man.... in no way did I say I know everything about bikes, and last time I checked this was a rider site with rider input, I was purely replying to the comment are they strong.... your bike looks great, and I do hope they hold up well for you, next time your in your local shop hold up several different rims side by side and compare, and then tell me you don't see the obvious difference in the seams, for eg: hold a halo rim up, the only reason I commented is cuz I was looking at getting a pair, and thats the advice by a Spank rider and shop owner, so sorry to offend you.... like I said your bike looks great Smile

tbh imo ideally go for black cranks & a black ring, any more purple would make the bike look tacky, you've got enough purple on it. tbh imo i think coloured bars are 'orrible

Your cockpit is setup for someone much shorter than you. The 831 has a really short crown, you are running no spacers with the steerer cut, and you have minimal rise bars. At the very least you should consider a much taller bar. Are you still growing?
