yes mate...good route--off set bushings-..as adjustable headsets-WILL...add more stress to frame..bushing will not...

Never thought of that...main reason i got them was because they're cheaper than the headsets
But that is another good thing about them

To put it briefly, I have no car to get to trails, so gave up MTB last year.
Road is brilliant though, just miss riding dirt as well : /

That sucks
I take it you have a car on the way then?
Having never tried it I wouldn't understand the fun you can get from road, but i'm sure it is there! Dirt is good though

Soon enough, I just need to get the ££ together!
And been riding road for a few months, it's not that bad, but XC will be good when I can do it again.

That's good, what are you thinking of getting?
What sort of riding do you have around you? Just xc or any dh or fr?

Still thinking on that part
I have Woburn and Chicksands as my local trails which have XC and DH/FR trails
Might go in between and get an AM bike as after buying a car and paying out all the bills that come with it will leave me short on cash too.

What!! You have woburn and chicksands near you! You are amongst the luckiest bikers in britain haha.
An AM bike sounds like the right thing to do, it means you can still shred the dh trails, but also do xc too

How much did they cost? I ended up going for a offset headset

They cost 20 quid. They won't have as big of an offset as the headset, but theyre cheaper haha.

I only got the headset as i didn't want my wheel to come any closer to the seat as i already had clearance issues.

ah fair enough, i havent rode this yet so it'll be interesting with the bushings fitted for my first ride

The slacker head angle on my trek made a huge difference, lowered the front made the handling less twitchy so hopefully it'll have a similar effect on your giant.

yeah, it's the fr model so it has a pretty steep stock HA, but hopefully it'll be reasonable with the bushings fitted

I would, but the steerer is too short
The extra control is really tempting though :L

the lower bb will give more stability for the super fast road riding
