Just google image'd the frame/linkage. It's like a kona 4-bar linkage just more compact, I always thought it was like a Cannondale Claymore and pulled the shaft out of the shock, not push it in.
Yeah. I think the only reason it was ever confusing is that the stock equaliser shock Is so compact and you can't see a shaft, it looks like it pulls out.
No the ransom is not a pull shock, why does everyone think they have a pull shock? They have a ridiculous stroke ratio, can't remember the exact figures. This means they need a small volume air shock to cope with the pressures exerted by the linkage. They also have floating shocks not 4 bar.
@skawt, its not a floating shock. Design is basically a single pivot with linkage activated shock. Oh and the RP23 on there actually has the high volume air can. If it was the low volume one, it would blow pretty quick... just like the equalizer's did/do.
Seriously though, It's really nice.
