Haven't even thought about that before (factory finish), but apparently it's just raw: "Our 'works raw' is just that, RAW. It comes straight out of heat treat and we apply decals. No clear, no treatment."

The finish looks quite shiny but the welded areas are very dark and the finish isn't even, so in the end it looks what it is Smile

Also just incase, if you just buyed your socom and it was used, check that CNC pivot part behind bb for any cracks, also seatpost on the front side of frame and upper linkage connection on frame. If they have been riden Hardcore they may have cracke from there. Also the bottom pivots are a bit bad if they are the generation 1 or 2 cos the polts get loosed up so you have to tighten them up again or use locktight. can solve this problem whit a new bottom linkage.

Your bikes are sick btw. I've always liked the blue Void the best, but there were only green ones left when I bought mine. Are you thinking of going 26" on your Octane?

Not yet, on winter it's better whit 24'' cos only place where can ride atm are sk8 halls, maybe on summer when get back out and ride dirts, 26''s roll better, whit 24''s bb is lower, corners better and feels lighter.

True. What I like about 26" is the controlled feel which gives me more trust, no matter if I'm riding dirt, street or park. Just my 2 cents Smile
