Selected by Ian Hylands - wow, amazing shot, and amazing color. The even cloudy day light helps this shot look super vibrant, and the dark stormy clouds really add to it.
honestly if they planned to match his sweatshirt with the flowers before the ride, thats just gay. but it does look cool, and that rock is pretty awesome looking too.
I love the shot but I don't think it's awesome about the purple top- it's just a step too far. Makes it feel like Gok Wan was involved- that's never going to be cool.
the purple top leads your eyes towards Chris. he was the 1st thing i noticed in the shot. davio615xx, come to Yorkshire when you visit, it's got more to offer than London!
Its not a true HDR no. Just a wee bit of dodging and burning here and there. The sky was pretty washed out in the RAW shot, so i toned it down a little (maybe a tad too much). This shot appeared in Singletrack Magazine a while back, I didn't burn the sky quite as much in that version of the shot.

I remember this when it was in Singletrack, it was definitely one of the better photos they have ever run. If you don't mind me saying it looked even better in the printed version. Good work!
Great color and terrain! However, I can't love a POD that is so "okay I'll climb up this rock and ride down it!" As sick as the whole shot is the rider part of it is to set up for me.
If someone knows this spot and confirms that this guy actually is flowin and rode UP that rock as part of the trail then I will gladly walk away with my tail between my legs :-)
Wow. And here I thought the pros weren't human anymore. Lol, can't believe he actually said fugetaboutit that day. I'm rattled when I can't land a trick... Not that I have many but still.
For Chris, it seems the trail gives him general direction for his ride but his tires don't necessarily follow the directed "path". Nice shot and colors.

One of the best PODs I have ever seen , looks so surreal
