Yes, I'm with you on that one. I've this flite Ti and now there's a SLR Kit Carbonio on this bike. The SLR is more flat than the flite.

I was thinking about an SLR kit carbonio, just for the lightness of the thing. I could swap it monday just for the picture.

But I prefers the round nose of the Flite Ti ( yeah you know why Razz )

What rear suspension setup are you running buddy? Quite fancy investing in an air shock for my status 2...would be good to see how it responds compared to a typical coil

I'm riding a R2C. 222 x 70 (8,75 x 2.75) b-tune but soon to be custom valved by my two favorite friend, left hand & right hand. Smile

I'll be messing around the shims stack fartest in the season.

If you go for a Vivid, don't forget to order your shock with the valve pointing to the piggy bag.

Sweet mate! Thanks for all the information. How do you find the air shock compared to a spring?

flag TheIrish (Apr 29, 2012 at 6:38)
Since the air tend to compress and decompress faster than a spring, It make the whole shock faster compared to a Vivid coil with the same adjustments. The shock did ramp up a little but not enough to really notice while riding. But I could see why people would prefer coil for plushiness. This is more a race shock than a freeride one. But you can adjust it from anywhere to anywhere to make it fit your weight and riding condition. I like that cause there's a lot of riding condition here in Canada.

Oh cool are you putting it in at the max 1.5 offset ?
  • + 1
flag TheIrish (Jan 24, 2012 at 4:33)
Not sure. I think I'll keep it conservative with 1 degree max to match demo head angle. But I'll see in the future if I want it slacker, it will not be so hard to change.

Ah right. That will be cool how does the bike ride ?

flag SintraFreeride (Mar 3, 2012 at 3:15)
Demo headangle is 64º in the lowest setting and the Status is 64.5º so if you go -1ºC you'll go slacker than the stock Demo. World Cup guys are running the Demo with 63ºC though.
Nice bike. I'm planning on getting the same frame. €1300 is BARGAIN!

I 've been conservative. I used the .5 for now on, then we'll see later if I want to go even slacker.

Go see my last pic, the bike is almost done.
