The customer service rep quoted the website to me... "9. This bicycle is not intended for use in trick riding, ramp riding, jumping, aggressive riding, riding on severe terrain, riding in severe climates, racing, riding with heavy loads, institutional or industrial use, or any similar activities; such uses may damage the bicycle, can cause serious injury to the rider, and in all cases will void this warranty." ... My response was what the heck was i supposed to do with it!!!???
HAHAHAHA jamis a bike that can sit in your garage lol if you want get a 2010 jamis or newer they do not break i had a 08 xam nd got it fixed # TIMES!!!!!!!! in 3MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then they gave me a 2010 jamis dakar xam 2 with new rear rim becausae it was a thru axle on the back on 2010 nd not on the 2008. This bike is BEAUTIFUL they made it stronger nd different geo to make them run really well. my 2010 has all 2008 xam 1 parts on it ( i only got the frame not a whole bike) i love it and i would sugjest jamis to anyone that wants bang for buck bikes! my whole familt rides jamis we have 2 parkers 3 komodo's 2 xam's and a xcr. a perfect family company and they take care of us everytime.
that put alot of stress on a frame not design to take the stress from there. it may only be 25 pounds but that was on a 5 ft long trailer. i have seen broken frames from disc brakes over many years of braking.
