marquis im not trying to cause a big argument or anything but your a mod yes, you are actually saying hes a scammer when you have no proof all the user's here have said hes legit and does not scam so you are wrongly making false allegations against him which i thought mods are not ment to do, they are ment to get the story first?.
And i have been from the start,i asked him to post a legitimate pic of the worksheet and/or receipt,i'm old school stuff can be shopped easily and have seen it many times when getting rid of scammers on this very site.
yeah that is true that anything can be edited to look legit but not many people know how to edit like that i can point out many adds that look like scammers i see a few today actually that look like scammers but it is down to the user them self to realise n get all the proof from the seller them self instead of having mods waist there time of getting people to upload the service sheets! anyone can download that from this site and edit that and use it on another part n scam
i bought the forks with a leaking seal took it apart put it back together then the damper was sticking as the bladder was bust . so i sent it into tf . the worksheet backs me up mate
I'm a mod it's my job to stop scamming, adding this info without a receipt or the work sheet is scamming as your trying to tell people that the fork was done by a pro,who the feck pays tftuned to tune a fork and then strips it down ? which if you have done negates all of the work done by tftuned as your not a pro mechanic.
Mark, Forbey isn't smart enough to scam. And anyway so what if forbes took his forks apart. Pretty sure everyone who cares about their forks do.. To service them
Forbes you left out the info where it was welded until i asked you to redo the add and that it had been welded, this is between a mod and a user the rest of you stay out of it.
If you use the buy and sell you have to add all relevant info,he left out where it had been welded regardless if the info was in his pics the info has to be put into the advert.
And yes there are close up photos of the new weld, Buyers should do their investigation aswell, and it took less than 30seconds to find photos of the frame.
edit- just read what you said above. which i agree on. Should just be a little message to him as opposed to this much confrontation.
Legit proof backs up the seller and gives the buyer confidence, giving proof is easier as there is no come back and the buyer bought on what he saw in the add.
How do you know i'm not trying to help forbes by asking him to post proof ? ah that would the people thinking i'm just a hater even though i see this kinda shit every day in the scammers thread.
Got to side with Marquis on this one, but no disrespect to anyone else or accusing them of scamming etc. Put all this the other way round and imagine YOU were the buyer, wouldn't you want the info to be legit? I'm not saying it's not, but you'd want proof, right? And as for the seller, Marquis is making sure that he's done everything he can to be honest about what he's selling, therefore NOT being labelled a scammer and keeping up a good rep. It's very easy to criticise when things like this are done, but at the end of the day if it was me who was buying something I'd be glad of the support and backup of the mods. Sometimes the best way to look at it is; if the buyer wanted to take me to court over this item, would they have the grounds? I think we all want the answer to be no, because everything was clear, concise and legit.
