Dont knock it until you try it. The Chainguide is very well made and because its designed for this set up it works amazing!

There might be many options out there but if you want something different the Antidote is for you.

If you want to be part of the herd then buy a Trek.

 I own a Trek, thank you very much. Great bikes. I also own two Santa Cruzes. And two Specializeds. And I also like spinach. Yum.

 No need to thank me for owning a Trek. I dont even sell them! I also have a quiver of different bike Santa Cruz V10, Transition TR 250, Antidote, Intense, Marin and GT. They all work great but the Antidote is just that extra special because not every other rider on the mountain has one. Just making a point to try before you comment. Happy Trails!
