I can't say I really like this. My eye is drawn to the middle left - somewhere - because all these trees are too distracting. The rider isn't exactly sharp, or at least doesn't appear to be the main subject. The rider appears to be an afterthought.

That is interesting, my eyes are pulled to the right side. Not towards the rider though, more the less the rock and landing. (Probably due to the brightness of the snow) It would be interesting to run this photo in one of those psychological experiments to see why one side of the brain is attracted to one side of the photo. I should know this as I just took psych but god know I didn't pat attention.

And to comment on the sharpness of the rider, I agree. If you stare loosely at him, his legs blend into the back ground and it looks like an upper body riding just the front end of a bike.... Maybe that's just me though?

I don`t know... maybe at this resolution it may look like he`s not sharp, but at XLarge it looks pretty good.
It`s a sick shot in my opinion.

I had to pull up the XL to make sure it wasn't snow. Snow was my first thought which would make this super sketchy. Still an impressive line though.

@billy i only mentioned the snow in response to the previous two comments, the first being the one commenting on the snow which i found odd as i couldn't see it, the second being the response which affirmed that i was not alone in not seeing snow.
Not criticising the photo just adding to a thread that had crossed my mind. I don't really have an opinion on the photo today so for now i will stop typing.
Sulk over......
^^^^^ nice to see protour, missed your comments, have you been away or have i not been looking hard enough

I don't like this picture. the rider isn't sharp and the trees seem to be the main motive of this image.

It's called mountain biking. On mountains there are usually trees. Traditionally, one would perhaps try and take a photo with no trees in front of the subject. But pretty soon, taking photos like that gets boring. So to summarize, it's a mountain bike photography sort of thing going on here Wink
