How did you start/finish digging the pit to get such a smooth shape?

Flat head shovel. Dig in thin layers. More so try to push like shoveling snow. Sharpen your shovel it will help a lot

Did you try and dig the curve into the floor or did you dig an angled hole then shape it?

5ft down. Over all the jump is 7ft. I'm 6ft tall
