nice! how does the cc double barrel air perform? did you find a good setup & was it complicated? and i recognized, you rode a dhx air. which shock would you prefer now on the voltage?
Hey, sorry I just realised you had commented on this pic! The double barrel air is amazing but I don't think I have set it up totally correctly yet. have only had one day of riding it which is annoying! Anyway it seems to be a really nice shock - very reactive to small bumps and the rear end of the bike seems to have more control over the ground. The downside to putting it on a Voltage is that the adjustments are at the bottom so you have to take the entire shock off to make any adjustments! So stupid! The DHX air I have only used in the short travel as the stroke is a lot less than the CC.It is a really nice shock as well, but I tend to set it up quite stiff so it pedals better and for better acceleration. I have heard if you want to use it for softer DH applications then it does not perform so well as it blows through the midstroke. I am not a suspension expert I am afraid, but I really like both shocks. DHX for shorter travel and DB air for longer travel works really well in my opinion. Hope that helps.
hey, thx for your experience! past weeks i thought also about a xfusion vector air, but it's not available at the moment... so i'm go for the canecreek i think. but the issue with the adjustments isn't that sweet i have to think about that.
Hey just bought a db air myself for my voltage, it's second hand and the bushings are too wide for the shock mounts so i can't fit it, did you have this problem, if so how did you fix it?
Hey, no I didn't have this problem, because I bought it new and specified the bushings needed. FYI, the hardware for the Voltage is 22.2 x 8 mm. TF Tuned does kits; you can get more info here: www.tftunedshox.com/info/mount_kits_bushings.aspx
