I would kill to train him through that line- proper freeride lines are rare as rocking horse sh*t these days.

In the UK, yeah. It just gets torn down by bullsh*t H&S. I can't wait to get over the pond.

Same deal around here for some / most areas unless you go way into the bush with no trail to it

If your riding this high in the trees whilst a weak sighted big game hunter is around... your likely to get shot in the ass.

@ Billpunkrock: Get off your arse and go build something! Lines like that don't just appear by magic. Get yourself onto google earth, find some good looking terrain near you where you'll not be disturbed. Grab a shovel and a pick axe and get on it!

why UK people always think trails are built naturally?

flag BILLpunkrockXD (Aug 18, 2012 at 10:28)
I know i know. But everything i've built has been knocked down or destroyed. I live in a place (North Wales coast) that sure, has trails - Llandegla for example is on of the best trail centres i've been to - but the scope for building something like this is impossible with our landscape. We had a pretty decent trail going with some huge kickers and floaty hips, but the council came and knocked it all down. trust me we've looked for better places, but it aint' happening.

I'm in the process of building my own trails, and I have to say that I almost find it more fun than the riding. It's just awesome to be able to look down the trail from the top and think "Wow, I've done good here" before letting go of the brake and shredding it ! Smile

Actually don't just go out and build....i've built a bunch of unauthorized trails and it just isn't worth it. Plus, it doesn't give us mtn bikers a very good reputation if everyone is always complaining about guys building illegal trails. The way to do it though is to get off your butt and get to know all the local mtn bikers, land owners, and trail or park heads. They tend to always want to help and then you an get some proper legal trails! Gotta be vocal mountain men yo...
