POD, POM & POY right there.. This guy gave it all I called him across the line, he collapsed with exhaustion and was laid on his back grabbing a well deserved breather. Only then did the ball drop and I realised what had just happened. Whistler Crankworx is the place of legends and for me this guy will be my hero for a very, very long time..
I like to think I would use people like him as inspiration and motivation if anything happened to me. That track isn't easy at the best of times, a lot of respect here.
This guy is one hell of a fuckin bad ass thats all I gotta say, I mean I work at a bike mountain and i've seen guys like this riding with one leg and another person with one arm and I think god nothin can stop these guys.....biking for life
AlecMann, would you risk your who-knows-how-many-thousands-of-dollars-went-into-it leg if you could protect it with a pad that you wouldn't even feel? I wouldn't.
thanks for posting this picture as well. pretty mindblowing. this picture amazes me www.pinkbike.com/photo/7741710 i for one would really like a homepage interview with this guy, maybe we can make that happen PB?
Holy crap though it was just one prosthetic leg, then I spotted the second Mad props to this guy, if anything was to happen to me, I know I could look to this guy for inspiration.
first my mind was blown because he is enough of a trooper to ride like a boss even though he is disabled and then i saw the flats and my jaw hit the floor. respect man. drive like that is the reason i ride.
"doing what you love is the cornerstone to having abundance in your life" Pictures like this put a lot of things into perspective, I am sure he forgets completely about his disability and has shit eating grin while he is riding!!!
this is what gets me stoked, after coming off a injury myself, i now want to ride again, and knowing there is a guy that has it worse than me still riding, so cool
At first I didn't see what was the point of this picture but then I stared at it for 5 minutes and thought to myself what a f*cking legend this guy must be...POY material right here...keep on riding crazy man
What a legend! Even though they lost two of their limbs, they loved Mountain biking so much, they carried on at it. I look up to people who are like that person.
Riding with bilateral transfemoral amputations must be a pretty wild ride... some pretty important muscles that attach on your pelvis and cross the knee.
Way to go champ!

100% legend.
is the knee guard on that knee just so it matches the other side?
