This trail is marked as Deerpath on a 1950's Army geological survey map, but is more commonly known on the local MTB discussion forums as Waterworks. The trail had almost disappeared when I found it 15 years ago. I've been shaping it ever since then, with my bike's wheels as my only tools. After Ladera Ranch was built on the hills above, it's been discovered by others.
