X2... I see this as the "rough open track killer" with those bigger wheels. I'm wondering if we might not be surprised to find it handles quite well in the tight too (maybe not 26r "well" but I'd bet it wont be like the first time you ride a 29r in the woods) They certainly LOOK to ride a lot differently and the suspension isn't working as hard. Watching tht little video of the Intense 29" DH bike always left tht impression. I'm with you Liamrock, I'd REALLY like to throw a eg over this one aye... This along with the Norco Range 650B have got my attention.
I am nearly 6' 5" so the new crop of longer DH bikes are welcomed...the last dh bike I owned had 48" wheelbase...and it was a fairly heavy bike at 44lbs...but for my height, it handled well, I recently spent a day in whistler on an XL Devinci Wilson, also a 48" wheelbase bike, and it also handled really well...this KHS is said to have a 50" wheelbase...not sure if that is true or not, and not sure how that extra 2" will affect the handling, but I would really love to ride one and find out! -not to mention experiencing the bigger hoops on dh....
I have the regular DH300 and man I love that thing to death and I only finished building it up in June! But 650B... on cross country bikes yes, but dh bikes I'm not to sure of. Only time will tell I guess!
