A week up at Retallack lodge exploring their tenure trails with James Doerfling, Kevin Landry, Evan Schwartz and Mike Hopkins. Check out more photos and a video: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Video-Mining-for-Nugs-2012.html
Selected by Scott Secco - Garrett Grove comes from a ski background and I think this image reflects that. This has to be one of the more unique roost shots I've seen. On a side note, Garrett's dog Gus didn't enjoy the alpine quite as much. He got absolutely annihilated by black flies and no-see-um's (or chug bugs as Doerfling calls them). He spent the following day recovering from a softball-sized mass of bites on his muzzle. Sometimes you've got to sacrifice the body for great photos.
@NittyGritty, glad you found it funny.....I just couldn't resist.
@Bscar, why don't you just start a blog and anyone that enjoys your type of "humor" can follow it instead of clogging up POD's with your "comments". Every day it's just a long line of crap that just gets in the way of people actually enjoying the pic or killing the fun when someone actually does comment with something creatively funny. Not that you care but your comment props tally looks like the weekly weather forecast for upstate Minnesota.
Retallack is way the F up there, isn't it? Snow already? nice... Backcountry and BM skiers know that place... it's pretty legendary for it's pow, isn't it?
And then I say the same for biking season.. Some people are lucky, they can ski and bike on the same day, oh well. Im happy I can do both, just not at the same time though
