 Its simple calculation really. When you buy bike in your country it it first imported and then sold via bike shop. Lets assume that importer gets 10-20% and shop 20-30% (not actual numbers but pretty close, distrubutors get about 40% of the price) now add that 40% to the 2100€ that YT costs combined with import toll an some other costs and you get price of the trek with similar equipment (3k+). Add some more because riding a trek (or any other big brands, hates gonna hate, but that how it is) costs more than YT ^^. Since YT is only sold via their webpage there is no extra 40% for distributors and you get your super price while company still gets same amount of money for each bike sold (possibly even more) and everyone is happy. Im not sure, but I think for some time they were restricted to selling bikes in EU only. I've tried one of the Tues 2.0 dh bikes and not only that is great looking it also rides very well so YT has great potential to be my next bike as well.
