they forgot to take of the dropouts from the fork. if the TT is 3 cm bigger the wheel base is 3 cm bigger? if they took of the dropaouts and make it 0mm maybe is better. who knows?

Should help stability having that extra 3cm of top tube and zero reach stem.

Having once HAD a zero-reach stem I'm gonna say I believe this is NOT gonna be anything special to get excited about (I'd sure like to rty it though to see if theyve somehow figured it out...) . Couple issues. No castor at the handle bars (the little reach of the stem means your weight on the bars has a "centering" effect) and 3cm more WB... yeah it'll be more stable on open stuff, but having found what I think is my perfect WB for my riding style and size, adding 3cm to the top-tube just to have a zero-reach stem would not make me happy. You can have a short back end and all to make it more "snappy" if you turn off the back (I AM one of those guys who liks to hang off the back of my bike and turn on the back tire more on average, maybe it's the flat pedals or something, but I just like manualing and steering from the back...), but these bikes see like they'd be pure "over the front'rs" and some of us don't ride that way. If they start specing these with Hope Steering Dampners then I'd imagine that would make it better, but even with todays mega-wide bars, I know my own Zero-reach stem kicked like a 400hp fwd car w/o trction control/aids. I am NOT on board with this concept yet. I''m not saying it wouldn't get you down the hill, but I just see the potential for added arm fatigue and some steering issues I vividly remember from my "long ago" experience (offcamber roots were just awfull as the front tire always wanted to just push perpendicular to the root and slide instead of being able to put the weight on the bars and climb up it at the angle you want your wheel to be at)...

Would I take a spin to try and prove myself wrong??? Absolutely!!!!! it looks like a BITCHIN bike, I just have some BAD memories of these stems. Mondraker is yet another one of those companies for us US folks, like YT and MDE etc, we never get to see them so they always jst have this "Euro-Exotic" look and mystique to them in my eyes. This is a GORGEOUS frame. I just remain "unconvinced" about this new "forward Geo." untill I try it. I'll say this though, the bikes that they (0-reach stems) used to be on were NOT extended to compensate, nor did they have todays super slack geo. so maybe that will make a huge difference... I'm nterested to try one out, but I'm definaty skeptical.

It seems more MX style.. where the bikes all have zero reach stem and a lot have steering dampers.

Yeah totaly... I think there was a vid of Nic Villouz riding one just like this (the gal who Rides for Mondraker was on this bike this year too) and they're both running steering dampers.
