 Awesome! Dogs > Cats

didn't see a cat running on the trail like dogs do...
  • + 8
Except when it comes to memes....
  • + 231
You're just jealous because the dog is faster (and smarter) than you. Canada hates you too. ♥

joe701 raises a valid point, this is a mountain bike website, not a fucking trail dog appreciation society.
  • + 49
The point is: This is no average trail dog! If you look closely you will see it is a Hover Trail Dog!
  • + 25
Canada to good for you period!
  • + 37
Joe, I bet you'd move here if you had the chance. You'd probably love it too, despite the high trail dog population.
  • + 24
Whats with all the Brits hating trail dogs? I don't have one, but don't see any problem with them. Btw if you're getting upset that the last two days have had dogs in them. Get a life, dogs in PODs are quite rare.
  • - 66
 americans...
  • + 23
Maybe the point is about getting out and having fun on a bike.
  • + 21
My dog actually loses her mind when she sees me getting my bike ready and is visibly disappointed the days she doesn't get to come along. Oh and I love Canada!
  • + 27
Wooh, wait up on the 'Brits hating trail dogs', feardabeast. It's only two Brits that have expressed a hating. Many trail and DH riders over here have a dog that follows/leads. I'm trying to get mine to follow me (and failing, but bare with me). I think that it's good getting a 'Dog POD'.
  • + 1
isn't chris akrigg brit as well? did they express their hate on the other thread/article? its not a picture but from the looks of it, bringing dogs along trail rides isn't isolated to north america.

Two guys don't like Trail dogs on POD.. and they happen to be British.. but you can't lump us all in with them... Britain's bigger than two people you know.. and yesterday's trail dog POD WAS BRITISH. In relation to the picture though.. that looks like the happiest dog on the planet! I want one
  • - 69
I don't hate dogs, I just don't get the stoke created when one runs down a track next to a man on a bike, go watch lassie if that's what excites you.
  • - 82
Also Canadians get touchy about their nationality, that's why they are lashing out at Brits, its a bit like small man syndrome.
  • + 13
would love to be able to do this, I have tried but my dog always just tries biting my pedals Frown
  • + 36
You're clearly just a silly little boy joe701. You lack the life experience to be of any use to anyone.. and you're opinion means almost nothing.. do us all a favour and leave the internet
  • - 38
Brits hate and complain about everything, it's just in thier nature. Poor sods.
  • + 9
I don't know how anyone couldn't love seeing the stoke in a dog's face. Its clear the reason is because he's out on a trail. Just like us!
  • + 8
Im British through and through, and the two times I have been to Canada I have preferred it. And dont hate on trail dogs, my dog needing a walk is a great excuse to go out on my bike.
  • + 17
Canadians don't hate, come on. Its way too nice here to hate things.
  • + 5
@gruver Haha, an American commenting on other people hating? American's are one of the least tolerant nations I know..
  • + 22
HAHAHAHA joe701 is banned for 99 hours lol
  • + 3
I am not a big dog fan but have a germansheperd in the house that my kids love. I usually take her on rides every day and she specially loves the DH sunday, she is very fast and obedient, takes care of all the group and has the most fun probably, the other rider like the same so whoever has bad comments about riding with a dog is just plain stupid, no matter what nationality. Cheers
  • + 3
 rable rable !
  • - 1
its just an awesome photo. Apparently there is something insulting about dogs to those guys up there who happen to be British. Gotta love the huge amount of stereotyping going on above!
  • + 3
Jeez, someone pissed in joe701's baked beans this morning.
  • + 2
Ok. the fact that most people on here are American or Canadian mean that British comments will automatically be neg propped just because 2 brittish people dislike the photo. Cant beleive the amount of people saying how the british moan and are dog haters. back to the POD... great photo! i like how trail dogs are becoming more and more a part of the sport! wish i could get mine to follow me!
  • + 13
I wish there wasn't even country flags beside the names. It just causes unneeded hate and arguments.
  • + 2
 yeah bro yeahbro
  • + 5
Wait? An american being ignorant about how a country behaves due to a stereotype?
Who knew?
  • - 1
I'd love to have a trail dog u get to ride while ur dog gets his/her daily excercise. Two birds one stone.
  • - 5
leave ur god dam dog at home
  • + 4
I hope all the ones hating don't have the pinkbike calendar.... They will be pissed off all month...
  • + 3
NickStewart: I propped you to prove that I'm not judging your country because if those two fools up there.
I am embarassed by a lot of comments from my countrymen. Please don't lump me in there either.
How can anyone in the world seruiously say they hate Canada??? I've never been there but I hope to when I die. (Canada=Heaven)

I am getting sick of the dog pictures
  • + 3
I think ScandiumRider is the most right person here.

 CANADA > UK
  • + 8
I like dogs because they taste really good.
  • + 2
go kick rocks joe701, mountain biking is about getting out and enjoying the mountains and nature on your bike. A mans best friend can enjoy it along side us. promise that dog is having just as much, if not more fun than the rider...is there something wrong with that?
  • - 1
I'm a Frenchman, and while you canadians and brits (both anglos) are out there debating about freaking dogs, I'm out there riding my bike, and stealing your girlfriends the rest of the time.

So yeah, enjoy debating for as long as you can, messieurs.
  • + 3
 I like eating cats too.
  • + 9
aaaaaand a picture of a dog having a good time escalates into a nationalist argument.
  • + 1
Walking the dog = 2 hours, riding your bike = 2 hours, walking your dog while riding = priceless. And for those who don't get it: it's better to ride with somebody than alone, and if no one is available..... oh well, i love my dog. Great picture.
  • - 1
@jacob1993, I am an Aussie living in the US. I have many friends that are Brits, its your nature...

My dog loves to go riding with us... As soon as we get t he bikes out of the garage she goes nuts... Its just as much fun and adrenaline for them to fly down a mountain as it is for us... Its also great exercise for them which increases longer life etc..etc... and if you go alone there amazing company..... and P.S its not just Canada... People in the US take there dogs riding too lol

oh dear. some people have issues , i don't see the point in criticizing a place that you have clearly never been to before "i f*cking hate Canada" wow , this guy is either a massive nob or the girlfriend is secretly lesbian and not giving out, either way calm the f*ck down , Its a dog. Rant over, i'm off to go ride my bike .

My dog loves being out on the trail, unfortunately he was hit by a car as a pup so i have to limit his trail time as he would happily run himself until all the nuts, bolts and lumps of titanium come flying out of his leg. Still he's got about as much metalwork in his leg as most of the top riders now

First time on a downhill run my dog tear-arsed after me, she loved it. 2nd time she tear-arsed after some sheep half way down (not good!). 3rd time she just couldn't be arsed and waited at the bottom! End of trail dog. :-D

It's awesome to have your dog go riding with you. I got a dog specifically do that and he has been great. Dh or tram rides he just wants to go running. To bad everything in the front range of Colorado is anti dog being off a leash. And if any people from Fort Collins read this and know of somewhere other than hewlitt gulch to go with a dog let me know!!

Nothing better than going for a ride and you have to dodge other people's dogs or go OTB cause all the dog lovers who lock their dogs in the house all day feel their entitled to let them run free
