negative prop me all day long, but tire dragging, akin to knuckle dragging, through corners is poor trail etiquette and should be discouraged not glorified. If, very iffy if at that, you're skilled enough and going fast enough to powerslide a corner without the use of locking up your rear brake, then THAT is worthy of adulation.
I know what cutties are, it's a slang term for a drift initiated by weight shift and not brakes aka powerslide. Also, I watched the vid and it appears he did indeed powerslide/cuttie. I'm admitting I may have been wrong about this photo, but it's still a true general rule and MOST people mimic the real deal by skidding around a corner.....it's an amazing pic either way, so props to the rider and photog.
Hey buddy, I agree with the skidding in corners comment however, in the 11 times I hit this corner for the shoot. Not once did in use my brakes, however on the last run my rear tire did roll off my wheel!
Mr. Skin, I was wrong about your pic and riding, you're the real deal, man! Well done, and major props! I've only ever been able to do this when saving a corner from disaster, or with a semi flat rear tire unbeknownst to me at the time
Seriously?! what's so good about it? It's beautiful, the contrast of the sky and the 'roost' (hate that word but what else do i call it? ) The way the trail silhouettes against the mountains in the background? It's just a top photo!
