I had seen Geoff Gulevich hit this ramp his run prior and new he came off it at top speed, luckily the second time around he threw up an even bigger trail of dust prior. It doesn't get much better than the Utah Desert for dust, shadows and amazing riding!
Selected by Colin Meagher - This photo by Garret Groves ain't no virgin--but it's never been POD before. Let the count down begin: it's only a month until the return to Virgin, UT for the 2013 Rampage, With that in mind, this juicy shot should be just the ticket to fire up the masses for what is arguably the finest freeride comp on the face of the planet.
That picture is damn unbelievable and deserves all sorts of recognition. You could show it to your grandma, preseident of Burundi and most importantly any kid on the street - and they would all appreciate it. Lord Vader would say: impressive, the development of mountain biking lies in the highest interest of the Empire.
But It could win POY only if it wasn't put against a picture made by some "local", "unknown" photographer including "local" " unknown" rider so that people focus on judging only the picture itself, without adding unnecessary emotional value to it like "give it to the poor guy". As if a professional photographer could not appreciate the win and make good use of the prize. (referring to 2012 POY)
Did not win because pinkbike is from Canada and the two final pics are from canada. this one is way better photo in all the way.and it was taken from the most harder competition of DH bike. Utah Desert.
I AM NOT GONNA VOTE FOR THE FINAL.
