rear hub on my doberman pinscher

Yo, just a heads-up because I bought that exact same hub.

First off, according to Hadley it's not really even supposed to ship with that particular axle (the aluminum one pictured), or at least that's the impression I got speaking with them on the phone. The threads are EXTREMELY soft and it's really not meant for horizontal dropouts. They said that explicitly, and I can back it up because I ripped my threads clean out.

Now the upside is that they'll ship you the titanium female axle (which works MUCH MUCH better and saves a few grams) for a very reasonable price, plus it is dead easy to install (sicklines.com has a guide). And while you're swapping it out I would encourage you to make sure everything is all tight.

It's an amazing hub, just not with that axle.

Well I could be remembering it wrong since it was a year or two ago when I got mine. But they seemed surprised it came with that axle. So maybe they made a weird one-off batch for the Canadian distributor or something.
