 The Ride

Transition did their homework here. The Covert 29 does everything one could want in a trail/AM rig. The rear end tracks so well and does exactly what the front end tells it. It is the most nimble 29er I've ever ridden and still has that 'point and plow' inspiration that lets you look for new, gnarlier lines than you may not be used to on a trail bike. The 32 spoke 28 mm width Revolution 29 wheels make their presence know; but that's to be expected for such bountiful quantity of hoop. The thing absolutely rips; so much so that I didn't even fully break in my brake pads because I didn't have to use as much braking as I'm used to on the short test loop.
