One of the best pods i have seen in a while, noting wild or new, just a classic shot with a standard trick (not something you need to see in a sequence), where everything from light, to composition to trick is executed to perfection.

D800? wouldnt exactly be a camera of choice, i presume you also have a faster camera d3? etc nice shot loving the use of light

Nope, no D3. I normally use a D70 for flash in bright light because of the faster sync speeds. Fast frame rates & bright light & flash don't mix, you only get one shot at the right timing with the right light, the flashes take too long to recharge to 1/2 power (which is the way I like it, timing is as important as composition & exposure). Continuous is for sequences & wildlife only in my opinion.
