This is a neat shot but something doesn't do it for me. The jumps seem slightly out of focus, the rider too far away, and the wood is too intrusive.

I have the same reaction. It's a good shot, but the soft focused foreground I find to be distracting.

The key subject in the shot, the rider, is decently crisp. And I actually like the way the wood frames up the shot.

This picture is dope! Its not always about just the rider and the jump. Framing in a picture with other objects makes it pop more. Everyone can take a basic picture. Its all about creativity and telling a story with pictures.

I like how the fire looks kind of surreal. It's as if it is painted/ airbrushed on the wood. The whole pic looks surreal with the wood and fire on the foreground and the rider doing a no hander in the background. Nice to see something different.

Ik rij hier regelmatig langs ivm werk maar zie zelden iets gebeuren! Wordt er nog wat gereden deze winter? Hoe dan ook, gefeliciteerd met alweer een POD van deze locatie.

would be much improved (in my eyes) if the camera was just a couple of degrees to the right, still with a bit of the fire in there but a nicerfocus on the rider

I'm staying up late because my basement flooded due to the snow that melted from a chinook. Snow sucks man, save it for the board trips and enjoy your sun.
