You're all complaining saying this isn't pod worthy, which I won't disagree with, it doesn't match the quality of most pods, but then I here everyone complaining about contests and stuff that only professional photographers get to partake in! And quality aside, that's some pretty sick ridding!
I remember the days when POD was all about the riding that was being displayed in the picture. Nowadays it seems to obtain POD the picture must have a 5* rating from the top photography critiques that pinkbike has to offer and if the exposure is a nanosecond too long the picture is not even worthy of being printed on toilet paper. I know a well taken picture adds to the portrayal of the riding but I think some people should look less a the picture and more at the riding. I mean; that's what we're all here for right? EDIT: Just seen i've echo'ed the views of some one else further down the page.
At first glance I didn't like the picture either. Now that I have taken some time to truly look at it, I really appreciate the composition. Like Jack said, the only thing I find that detracts from the quality are the bright, overpowering colors of the helmet. They don't flow with the muted earth tones in the rest of the picture.
Dont forget this is primarily a website for MTB riders, not photographers. Occasionally a photo will be awesome just for its content, despite poor photographic quality.

Go ahead and argue with me about how the photo's composition is actually done well, that the background is not blow ln out, that there's no awkward smudge mark or what is most likely a badly placed foreground, and that the rider is not underexposed.
You can say I'm running my mouth all you want, but thus far all I've done is critique the photo and tell your French buddies there to not personally attack me and that I don't find their rummaging through my photos funny.
To those of you in France, you may as well just accept that you actually won a battle for once instead of having to fly the white flag and embrace it instead of flame those who don't appreciate the beauty of it.
