I've had mine for 5 years now.

The only problem being that the wait time for getting it healed back up is ridiculously long. Around a year before you can start ripping without worry. I wanted mine out a while back, but I've realized that my collarbone would be infinitely weaker without it. And I simply don't have the time to heal up either. If you only have a month to get it out, I'd just go for it. I waited for too long and now I'm pretty much stuck with it.
