Hey I have the sworks also. I am honking of getting the 180 float for the bikes parks ( I have a rock shox pike for rest of the time). Is it really slack with the 180 on it? Also does the front sit a little higher with that fork compared to the original 160 talas that came on it? Nice ride though.

I would say it is too slack and high to do any climbing with a 180mm fork. Descending with it at 180 feels sweet though. If you're just sitting in the saddle with it at 180 it feels a little too slack but as soon as you're standing with some weight over the front it balances out nicely. It will be a few centimeters higher than it was with the stock fork. I can't really comment on how much of a difference it will make since I haven't had anything other than 180 Talas on my last two Enduro builds.

How is the 180 on there? Aren't you scare the frame will break at the head tube jucture? Specialized HIGHLY say no on anything over 170. Let me know...

My old S-Works Enduro had the same 180mm Talas on it that I rode the previous two seasons. I would imagine that I wouldn't be walking away from any incident that involves enough force to rip the head tube off of this frame. This bike is my ride everything bike. The 180 fork and the DB Air make it very capable descending and the Talas means I can lower it enough to climb well. As far as I'm concerned, for my riding style, the fork that comes stock on this bike is a handicap and so is the xx1 drivetrain.

 Triple seems out of place.

 Clearly you don't ride here.

So you're saying you need both your 22t and your 42t rings?

It's 24-32-42, and yes. 24 for steep climbing, 32 for moderate climbs and cruising, 42 for descending and riding between trails on railway grade or highway.
