I agree that there should be a POD from fort william, but you cant deny that that is an awesome looking singletrack going along the ridge, even though the picture is obviously tilted
awesome pic and landscape, but i prefer to put my protectors on my body than on my bagpack, before turn to the left. hmmm... looking to the left is no option when you´ll stay on the trail.
baileyroberts....you dont have a clue due you? yet you still talk smack. go ahead, go there, stand in the same spot, and tell me if you can take a photo better. i have a dumb amount of photos that look like that, and none of them were intended to make it look fake or more impressive.
to clarify...The photo was taken on the ridge between Kicking Horse and the canyon creek trail. It's a hike a bike with a variety of ups and downs. He isn't wearing his armour because we are just riding a short shot before we had to hike again. Didn't shot on an angle on purpose...just kind of happened in my rush to take the photo. Good or bad photo...who cares. sick trail
i agree that its a good photo. its pretty clear that a lot of people on here dont have a slight clue on the angles trees and plants grow in, especially on the tops of ridgelines. here's a basic hint: tree's grow towards the sun, and get angles that they grow in based on wind direction and intensity.
A sweet panoramic of rugged high alpine terrain accessible by mtn bikes and everyone hates on it.....to me this represents awesomeness, sure it wasn't shot by Hylands or whatever, who cares, lets look at the bigger picture here. All you bike park riding fan boys that are too lazy to ever get to this spot can't appreciate it, guess we should have another berm shot with some loose dirt flying in the air.....
I suppose, POD just means it was selected as photo of the day. I never read anything that the POD had to meet certain criteria. This image is high quality, typical magazine shot, and for me, the tilt, ruins it. So, I am understanding that POD really is just a random selection of pictures and not a contest of Art. This then, is just a Pic Of the Day.
best pod ever, no other recent pod has created such controversy. keep it up pinkbike. get away from those glossy, professionally taken and professionally altered magazine shots. this one is real riding, a real photo by real guys. even if they happen to be real gay guys.
dude the image tilt on this picture is shoking and as bailey roberts said , get a picture of fort williams downhill track , which i have been on and completed, but all ya need is a specialized demo 8
