I have a Thomsen as well. I built this to be an all around bike since there's not much 4x anywhere these days. I'd be hitting the bmx track tonight but its 114ยบ right now.

why the dropper, seems a bit pointless on a 4x bike, just get a thomson or an i-beam

What if he wants the luxury of quick release without having the pain in the ass of straightening the seat back out everytime he drops it ?
Makes sense to use a dropper, you can just press a button and boom seats at race height. I'm really not sure why they're not more popular.

If you're really riding 4x, you're not using the seat.

If you're really looking at his bike, you can see how low it drops. Plenty of non-seat riding room.
It's so simple, raise the seat for warming up, slam it at the gate, raise it to cool down.

Correct. It's not just a 4x bike though. 4x is pretty much dead here in the states.
