Hi mate, the largest i went before i sold the the frame in favour of SC Bronson was a High Roller II 2.3 and it was very tight on the back. It did clear though and theres no flex from the Stans EX rims but I didnt ride it in muddy conditions which might cause problems. On the upside the yards of space on the front using the BOS Deville 26inch fork. What forks are you running?

So your running bos26" forks with a 650b wheel with no problems? Have you let all the air out to see if the tyre hits the crown! This would be nice to no as I don't want to replace my forks and no one does a nice 26 carbon frame any more. Feel like I'm being forced to go 650b even though I'd like to stay 26

 HI Mate,

Yep i was and in terms of clearance it was fine with quite a bit of room even with the air let out. I know where your coming from, theres definitely 650b tidal wave rolling through and for me there wasn't really enough difference in terms of more speed to warrant the change so i've ended up going the whole hog and doing something i never thought i would, by buying a 29er.

With Liteville despite, supposedly being configured for 26 or 27.5 wheels, it was nowhere near as balanced a bike when set up with the bigger wheels. You really get a perched on feel and the bottom bracket was already pretty high. It was however faster over most stuff and ripped through my strava times in the surrey hills and swinley.

I guess personal and the style rider and the riding you do. I'm 41 and have had quite a few body recking crashes and now that i dont bounce as well the 29er suits me perfectly. I thought i was going to buy the enduro or a tallboy but after a day swapping between the 3 the stumpy put the biggest smile on my face more of the time.... anyway, you didnt ask me a about any of that, so apologies for banging on and let me know if you have any other questions about the boss forks.

cheers
Rob : )

I asked cos I sold my demo cos I just didnt get the time to ride it. Got a nukeproof mega wiv bos 26er, was going to sell that frame and get a s works enduro 26 n swap all my mega stuff over but and a big but at that I can't get one for love or money and I'm not very happy about that, I now feel like I'm being forced into this 650b bull#### and that means new wheels but at least my forks will work with the 650s. So I've got to wait for the 2015 stuff to come out and hope they do a 26er or a 650b a works enduro. So angry about this 650 stuff why can't they still do a 26" worked fine for me for the last 18 years. And if I here one more person say it's change with the times progression new tec I'm going to explode lol. Cheers for the info dude Wink ps I'm not normally this grumpy lol

Thinking of doing the same with my bike but I'm curious till what size of tire I can go on the rear. Rather would have a bit bigger tire then a Nobby 2.2
