Vanderham was riding a black one several weeks back when we where up in Whistler , i asked if it was the newest version of the Flatline he just smiled LOL
FINALLY, about time they updated the old gun. Had a love hate relationship with the old one, but this thing is beautiful, can't wait to see the real deal!
Just because it has a vertical shock mount (walking 4-beam linkage or whatever it's called) does not mean it looks like every other bike in the world that does, the rocker link on this is much longer than that of the session or operator for example. The front triangle is a drastically different shape than other bikes with similar style linkage. If you really want to see two bikes that actually LOOK the SAME a good example is the Commencal V3 and the MacMahone Killmeister. The Rocky above isn't even comaprable to a Session except for having the shock mounted vertically...
The definition of "why things look like other things" is actually everything you just said made it not look like a Session. So yeah, it looks like a damn Session. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It's a 4-bar frame with a vertical shock. Looks like a Session.
its like dodge ford and gm trucks they all look similar, but they dont look exactly the same. They all drive differently so im assuming this rides different then a session and feels different then a kona.
Not once did I say that it looked exactly like a Session. But it does look like a Session in some capacity. The fact that the Session test mule was also raw aluminum makes it look even more like a Session.
It looks like a Session in the same capacity that a Wilson looks like a Demo, or that an Undead looks like an Operator, they both have two 26" wheels so I guess they look the same. You have to draw a line somewhere when comapring how things look to one another otherwise everything (not just bike related) looks like everything.
