What about the 96'ers? You know those things with the huge front wheel? That should be added.

I think it wasn't added because obviously every one here has one, so no need to ask.

I ride 26 inch, want to try 27.5 inch, don't really like 29 inch.

Since I can only afford one bike and am and AM/DH rider who would love it if there were some local enduro races...I'm with 26ers. For a long travel bike, they rock. If I got a hardtail I would probably get a 29er though. I've rode a few and really liked em.

26" is the best! 700c for training and commuting, then 20" when i fancy a bit of park/street Big Grin

We don't need no stinking 29ers. 69ers for life baby! If you want to go big, go big.

 It's odd how we call 27.5" wheels 650b but not 29ers 700c

flag chilli06 (Oct 23, 2012 at 9:22)
Because 700c is not 29" it's a road size of tyre.

26 for me but only because AM/DH bikes for XC I'd be going 29 . I had a 650b SS and loved it .

650b selling point is "its not that different than a 26" " , so why even bother with it ?.

I ride 26" for downhill, and the 700c (29") for the road of course.
In my humble opinion, 26" makes sense on off-road stuff, maybe 650b would as well, but I don't see me loosing 200mm suspension upfront to fit the 650b.
For road, there are no questions really, 700c is the way to go. 26" even looks odd on road bike.

29" and 700C are actually the same wheel size. 622mm ERTO

flag RedzNC (Oct 22, 2012 at 16:44)
True, but putting all of the 700c bikes into the 29" category wouldn't be a very good representation of what types of bikes people are riding.
