3 w/ no guide, 2 with guide, 2 without guide adds up to 1221 right now. and if you figure in that a bunch of the 1 with chain guide/1 without guide are also on XC/AM bikes too, I think it's a majority
well i think anyone could have guessed the out come of this but they really should specify DH only cus its the dirt jumpers or enduro riders or any other rider that technically could answer this that are going to mess it up... by the way im one of those guys
The problem with trying to figure out who's who on here is that so many different kinds of riders benefit from a the majority of these options. Obviously, anybody with a triple ring crankset is only riding XC or Trail, but every one of these setups has been used across more than one discipline. Especially after taking rider preference and varying terrain across the world into account.
Always use a chainguide! The worst crash I ever had happened when the chain jammed mid sprint, as everyone who's had that happen knows, over the bars I went.
