This is kind of a weird question. I want the most amount of drop I can get based on my frame and my inseam. Right now I have a 100mm, but I think I could squeeze in a 125mm or a 150mm depending on the design of the dropper.

can the person who created this poll please add the option for those who have never used a dropper,

I am sure they are great, but at the price they want for these things, I just cant justify it, what I do works great.

I use three positions-

bike park (all the way down all the time) 60% of my time on the bike
Trail (a bit low but I can pedal ok) 30% of the time
road (for when I am out and about for a casual ride) 10% of the time

They're indeed pricey as F, but it's hard to over state how much it changes your riding. I'm sure you've heard all the arguments.

@scvkurt03: I have no doubt, but I think it would apply to peeps that do more trail than I do, and more tech riding, I just don't feel the need to adjust all that often.

The real question is how much does Danny MacAskill use. I'd put that on my bike any day.

Depends on the frame really, I'd have the maximum drop that I can fit into the frame and still meet the minimum insertion required

this depends on the bike frame as well.....one bike I have 125 and all is well and the other I has a 125 but wish I had a 100 as its a little too long and I cant lower it anymore in the frame.

also for all you 6'2"+ giants out there please realize that your not special......loads of pople are around 6ft these days so you hardly constitute a 200mm dropper unless your riding a bmx or you must all have 5ft long legs almost no torso and a short neck.

I have a 150 KS now and would like more if I can get it.

The 175mm Fall Line is the perfect fit for my 6'2" body on my XL Nomad--lets me slam it all the way down.

Funny but I have short legs and 50mm is all I need unless what to do trials on my trail bike

Much agree depends on the stand over of the frame
