Easton Havoc Disc
(MSRP $799)
—
The first wheel designed from the ground up for All Mountain riders. Light enough for the most demanding XC rider, yet strong enough for the rigors of DH. The Havoc’s proprietary hubs are enhanced with oversized axles and bearings. A newly designed 3-pawl freehub is engineered for dependability and smooth performance and the front hub converts from 9 mm axle to 20 mm through in seconds — no tools required! Easton's proprietary 28 mm rims accommodate the widest tires without the rollover inherent in competing 23 mm rims and its lateral stiffness is up to 39% greater than competing rims.

They are not without problems though; The rear axle assembly started to come undone resulting in a very unpredictable rear-end before I realized what was going on. You need to carry two 5mm hex keys tighten the assembly (which I did not have at the time) and I haven't found a good way to secure the threads to prevent this from reoccurring. Easton should probably consider an UNF thread and some form of thread lock for the next design iteration.
