This bike is so easy to manual and hop on. It is pretty much the best feeling street/park/dirt bike I have ever ridden. It is super light and works well with suspension as well as rigid. The only thing that could do with some strengthening is the spindle because it broke after about 5 months of use but Kona was good enough to replace it for free and they said if it happens again they will upgrade my crankset for free.

Best hardtail i have owned to date, and I have had alot of em! I have worked in a shop for years now and i have seen the best and worst of them. The sHonky is an outstanding bike, well after i put a Marz 4X on it. Hate the rear dropouts but the frame has an amzing geo and whipable feel.

One of the greatest bikes to buy if you plan to build it better, it's the perfect building block for dirt jumps, 4X racing, etc. Much like the rims on the BASS my cranks broke in less than two weeks, so they should be the first to go. I would definetly recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight terminator.

The bike is crazy responsive. So far the only thing changed were the bars/stem and added a rear disc brake. Wasn't so pumped on the rigid fork until i got on the pump track and local dj's. There is plenty of places to save weight.

I own a Kona 2009 Shonky, replaced the pedals, forks, handlebars, rims, hub, seat, and put on some disc brakes. The bike itself is lightweight, (A little front heavy) but rides pretty solid. Easy to do tricks with! I HIGHLY recommend this bike.

Best hardtail ever for DJ. Hands down. Light and flicky for DJs, and really easy to spin. Favorite frame I've ever owned/ridden. I would reccomend this to anybody who ride DJ, street, or park. Sick ride, sick price.

Ride the 2008 version, brilliant bike, single speed is better than those i have rode on that have been bought, sturdy forks and framework, kona really got their rigid bikes right Smile

an incredibly light and agile bike. A two wheeled lotus exige if you will. That rigid fork makes the front of the bike super light and this bike is real easy to manual on.

looks funny but is super light and has good headset, saddle, seatpost, tires.I think that that fork would break under a lot of preashure heavy front sprocket.

this bike= winning. the only thing i would reccomend would be new rims, as the stock ones bend like a mofo. Also, a fork is a good idea.
