Bought the Aurum 2 after setting out to buy a second hand DH bike. All the bikes I looked at were getting up around the £1800 mark, so after reading the reviews on the Aurum 2 I bought my first ever new bike.
The Aurum 2 has lived upto my expectations, it's super fast, corners really well and the rear suspension with a relatively low cost shock is Simply awesome! Deals with the rough stuff really well and when you make adjustments you can actually feel the effect.
Bottom line, this bike is loads better than me.....

Superb out of the box dh rig. It's my first dh rig so can't really talk about pro's and cons. What I do know is I rode it for three days straight at Fort William and we both survived. Nice video review on YouTube by marwickbrosmedia if you're tempted by this bike.

I just bought the Aurum LE frame and built it up. This bike is just plain fast. Low BB gives you a low center of gravity and corners like a dream.
