huge big hit fork. great service over at rockshox. little maintenance and extremely stiff. ajustments arent like a fox fork but do the job enough. stiff, lots of plush travel feels like your riding a monster t without the weight, and the plushness of a boxxer wc.

get a 2010+, no issues just great performance... especially great on drops and nose dive crashes... Remove your floodgate for better performance...
Pros: Cushy, Lots of adjustments combined with Solo air can get set-up just right for your weight no getting caught between (Soft/Medium) coils.
Cons: None so far, dials can be a little tough to move at times i guess

Simply amazing fork: light as it should get, stiff as a single crown can get, plush as you want it to be, adjustable, you can fool around with the internals, and it looks good. After the solo air cartridge in mine broke, I sent it in for a repair and it's been feeling like butter ever since-I also lube the seals with triflow every other ride, it really helps. And keeping the floodgate at the lowest setting does increase small bump sensitivity, at least on mine. I love it.

This by far my most favorite single crown fork I have had the pleasure to have and use. This is one tough A** fork by far! I do a lot of gnarly DH, FR, and urban assault, but I do more bit hit drops (flat & trans) than anything and these forks take everything I throw at it Plus more. To make this review more simple, these forks are all hands down the toughest single crown forks i have ever used. If you want the strength of a dual crown but in a single crown, then these are for you.

Incredibly stiff laterally, yet as plush as you will need and it still has the ability to take large hits without discomfort. Looks amazing (and at home) on any big bike, wouldn't choose any other long travel single crown fork

Super Adjustable to whatever your riding may throw at you, the lockout is nice to have for when you can't shuttle to the trails. Mission Control allows you to have total control over your ride. Only downfall of the fork is does need a rebuild more often than other forks.

When i was going to buy long travel fork i was looking to get MZ 66. But then i got Totem for a ride. And i forgot about Marzocchi. This is absolutely the best single crown i have used and seen so far. And it's pretty practical too. When i bought it, i put it on my hardtail FR bike. Now i'm looking for full suspension bike, and i have no need for new fork. This is awesome.
I totally love floodgate option, because sometimes i need to ride longer way, and it's very practical, because i don't need 180mm travel at that moment.
I am using it over six months and only thing i have serviced is chenged seals, because i bought used fork.
This is my first long travel fork, and i'm absolutely happy with it. I would recommend it for everyone. Paralelly i've got RS Domain and different models of MZ 66 for a ride, and i can say - Totem is the best of all.

totally sick, really easy to tune for personalized feel, can also be used as an all mountian fork if you tune it right, definitley gives you the confidence to hit that drop you've been looking at all season long.. worth every penny, and low mantinece. it also looks real badass on your bike

Plush! Very light and highly tunable.. Mine needed the Mission control replaced after 2 rides, but since then it has saved my life numerous time and increased my riding ability by a considerable margin. I feel the lockout is kind of useless but the high and low compression allow you to tune it right where you want it.

This is the most fluid feeling fork I've used. Highly sensitive to small bumps and soaks it up on the big hits. Stiff and strong, bumps gone, big and small. Highly adjustable. Other forks can't match the feel.
Only dislike is on very steep downhill if their is no air in the fork, the fork compacts down because your weight is over the front causing you to loose travel, making the hill feel steeper. This doesn't happen if you have air in the fork or if you keep the weight over the rear tire. A very minimal complaint considering how ridiculous it is in every other way. Can't say enough about how nice it rides. Amazing fork.

proud owner, can take any hit, any drop, any jump, anything you point it to
the damping works so-so, but the fork is meant to go big and long, and there is the condition where you can use it's full potential

The adjustability blew my mind, can take huge hits and still allow me to pedal efficiently up the trail, 5 stars, wasn't expecting less, very glad with it.

Same system as Boxxer WC, Beefier Stanchions, half the price, lighter. Yeah, only downside is the 180mm, but there's nothing wrong with that.

Awesome Fork! Great for Huge Drops, Dirt Jumps, Downhill, even Uphill. Requires little maintenance. Internals can be changed from Solo air to coil or both. Worth the money!

Specifications Compare to other Forks

Release Date 2012
Price $1,096
Weight 2648.97 g
Color Options Galvanized, Black, White
Travel 180 mm
Travel - refers to the distance the wheel can move in respect to the frame. Typically measured in millimeters, most forks range from 80 to 203 mm of travel
Spring Air
Crown Single
Body Type Magnesium, Maxle 360 20mm axle, post mount disc (203mm min rotor)
Rebound External Rebound
Rebound - is how quick your fork returns to a fully extended position after being compressed. Almost all after-market forks feature external rebound adjustment for easy fine tuning.
Stanchion material 40mm 7000 series straight wall Aluminum, low friction anodized
Steer Tube 1.125
Damping Mission Control
Damping - The process of absorbing the energy of impacts transmitted through the forks or rear shock during the compression stroke, and absorbing the energy of the spring during the rebound stroke.
DropOut Options Maxle
Compression high speed compression, low speed compression, Floodgate switch and internal Floodgate
Compression - This is the damping circuit that absorbs the compression energy force on the damper. Compression damping is used to adjust how quickly a fork or rear shock compresses when hitting a bump, and is adjustable on some products. When compression damping is too soft, this condition allows most of the available travel to be used without attaining control of the wheel. When it's adjusted too firmly, the wheel will jump or "dance" about when hitting small bumps, again failing to gain control of the wheel.
