amazing, light, stiff, easily adjusted to preference. been riding them on my cove sanchez and they ride a dream. only problem i had is i knocked out the rebound adjuster( snaped it) but it happens. and i also have trouble with twigs rubing against the lock out when i ride downhill which is slightly annoying as it emeans i can suddenly feel every bump alot more but other than that there amazing

I've used this fork on my Giant STP, I use my STP for riding everything

Build quality - very good not had a problem with flex and use this fork for downhill so it's pretty stiff. The fork is also very light for its strength. 20mm Maxle is easy to use.

Air U-turn - incredibly easy to set up any way you want, the fork uses positive and negative air chambers to make the fork feel exactly how you want it. The U-turn lets you set the fork for riding things like dirt and street but lets you up the travel for the rough stuff.

Lockout with floodgate - very good for riding to the trails, I wouldn't jump on it locked out in case it gets damaged though, just put more air in the positive chamber instead.

Rebound - Rebound adjuster is easy to use and is also removable so you don't lose it.

Cons - The fork was leaking out of the box from the rebound adjuster, fixed the problem by pulling the rebound adjuster off and tightening the bolt at the bottom of the fork leg.

Fork also made a slight knocking sound when it switched from compression to rebound in its stroke but that lasted a few days and then stopped.

Overall - I love this fork, it's light, strong, stiff and does what I want it to flawlessly. If you buy this fork you shouldn't be disappointed.

 Pros:

Light, strong, adjustable and great performance

Cons:

cost though they provide reasonable value, also suffered from hydrolock after a heavy landing.

Bottom line:

Great fork, has been sat on the front of my marin attack trail and take almost everything i can throw at it. They run sweet and smooth all year around and once you get the set up right the are buttery and track very well.

Been riding it for 1 season. it still works like a charm.. I found that it needed more air than recomended for my weight. I used it for some freeriding and it didden fail.. tho it did bottom out sometimes (might be my poor set-up with + and - air) and you can clearly feel its an air shock and not a coil in the way it handles small bumps at higher speeds. So for a AM bike its perfect, because it can handle everything.. but for pure freeriding i would go for a FOX 36 or so.

Bottom-line:
I tried to make the fork something its not! but it didden fail, and i would recomend using it for what its made for, AM.
Its stiff and easy to set up.. U-turn works great and its light.

Very nice forks. Work best with negative and positive air the same although I run slightly more in the positive. I did however have a problem with the helix's moving, but its nothing to worry about.
Awesome fork.

Specifications Compare to other Forks

Release Date 2009
Price $604
Weight 2131.88 g
Color Options Diffusion Silver, Diffusion Black (AM)
Travel 110-140mm mm
Travel - refers to the distance the wheel can move in respect to the frame. Typically measured in millimeters, most forks range from 80 to 203 mm of travel
Spring Air
Crown Single
Body Type Magnesium, Maxle 360 20mm, IS disc mount
Rebound External Rebound
Rebound - is how quick your fork returns to a fully extended position after being compressed. Almost all after-market forks feature external rebound adjustment for easy fine tuning.
Stanchion material 32mm, 7000 series straight wall Aluminum, low friction anodized with travel gradients
Steer Tube 1.125
Damping Motion Control
Damping - The process of absorbing the energy of impacts transmitted through the forks or rear shock during the compression stroke, and absorbing the energy of the spring during the rebound stroke.
DropOut Options Maxle
Compression Low speed compression to 'Lock' with external Floodgate
Compression - This is the damping circuit that absorbs the compression energy force on the damper. Compression damping is used to adjust how quickly a fork or rear shock compresses when hitting a bump, and is adjustable on some products. When compression damping is too soft, this condition allows most of the available travel to be used without attaining control of the wheel. When it's adjusted too firmly, the wheel will jump or "dance" about when hitting small bumps, again failing to gain control of the wheel.
