Smooth shifting, durable and light. If you can find this on a deal, it's a no brainer. XT does the job just as well but XTR has that beauty factor as well as being more light.
i love it, doesn't miss a shift. i have the dual control shifter/lever and i love it. i've ridden my xtr rear derailleur for 3 years and it's still like new.
The XTR rear derailleur is amazing. The pros are that it is light weight like all XTR componants and the shifting campabilities are rapid. It is expensive to replace.

Actuation Ratio - is typically seen in shifters and derailleurs. SRAM primarily uses 1:1 ratio while Shimano primarily uses 2:1. It is imperative that riders check to make sure that their shifters and derailleurs are compatible with one another. If they are not compatible, they will not work.
