 A bit on the heavier side but a month with it and itll feel like a feather. I would replace the bashguard with an aluminum one. Mine took 1 good hit and it was busted into 3 pieces. Im sure a sprocket stall would kill it too. The DJ2 on it is really nice although I would prefer the 100mm but 80 will do the job. The juicy 3s are ok once worn in but dont expect to stop on a dime with these. Your almost definitely better off getting some 5 or 7s.  fun bike i love the way it handles and i love how i can ride the thing it so many different terrains such as dirt, street, and even some trails. The only thing i dislike about this bike is the gearing. It is a little funkys when it shifts and it is a little heavy but other than that it is an awesome bike to ride

 i bought the 2008 version of this bike-i upgraded the fork and wheelset immediatly, because the pike is way better than the dj2 and the wheels bend like a paper clip-another part about this bike that is not to great is the brakes-for the 2009 they made a good desicion and upgraded to juicy 3 which are much better-(don't worry about that) other than that it is great, very clean over jumps and can handle good jumps and bumps-this bike is very fun to ride over big dirt jumps or park;.--- Another point:Because the wheel is so close to the frame it allows this bike to easily manual-i would recomend this if you are a dirt jumper with a decent amount of cash-be warned the wheels bend easily and there a quiet a few parts that could be nicer or upgraded-specialized has done a good job designing the frame

 I bought a 06 P2 a few years back, i ride the snot out of the bike and it has never failed me. the bike is literally all stock except for the seat, peddles, and single speed kit. Its a great beginners bike and definatly worthy of the specialized name!

 I have the 2006 P.2 and I love it. It is a light and strong frame. I dont like the frox that came with it but so I did change them to FOX after they needed a rebuild kit. Overall the frame is strong, light, and most important, sexy. The shox should be replaced but I didnt hate them. All the other parts, bars, stem, cranks, BB, etc, held up really nicely.

 GRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT BIKE, A BIT HEAVY WITH THE SHIFTER AND ALL BUT ONCE ITS SINGLESPEED, WAY BETTER, REAR WHEEL COULD BE A GOOD IDEA BUT DONT WORRY, GO GET THIS BIKE BUT NOT OVER 1000$ I BOUGHT IT IN PROMO FOR 849$, THE GUY WAS MAKING 16$ OF PROFIT

 i just got it a few days ago and so far i love the frame of it. A 100mm fork would be nicer and the rims bend pretty easy. I took it off a 9 stair drop the first day i got it and already flattened the back rim a bit. Other than that its a great bike just needs a couple upgrades.

 This bike is solid. very nice to ride. brakes handle well on pavement but skid a little bit when making quick stops on dirt. very light and easy to transport to your local dj park. so pros: light, crank arms are very smooth, great tires. Cons: the shifters could be a little more responsive, brakes, no waterbottle holder screws (even dirt jumpers get thirsty).
all in all its a wicked bike.

 This bike is built tough, and it is fairly light. I love it for jumping, and learning trials stuff. It's a lot of fun and really easy to throw around. The components are fairly decent, I have upgraded a few things though. My only complaint being that I have the short frame is that I cannot do bar spins without hitting the tire on my pedal. Overall it's a great bike.

 I am not a very big fan of the stock components (which I've broken most of) I love it. The frame is tough and has everything a dj/street, park rider would ask for. I love it and when I grow out of it I'll probably get a P3 frame.

 bought th 2012 brand new. Later replaced all parts except the rims and 6 years later of hard abuse I bent the rear triangle doing a flat spin. Loved that frame. Looking for another 2012 frame

 ive got the 07 frame and im liking it so far lol good frame , rock solid just a bit heavy is all and the bb hight is so low if it was moved up an inch or 2 it would fell so much better apart from that good frame

 I've ridden a Specialized P2 for 5 years. The bike is super solid. Just had an oportunity to ride the 09 P2 and was super impressed! A little different feeling but still seemed to have that solid, agile specialized feel.

 I got one check my pictures. Ive got it single speed and had to get some new rims as the ones that come on it bust within the 1st couple of rides. I Buzz for it though next upgrade fox float 36s dropped to 100mm

 It is very smooth even though i have the 2010 but i am a hundred percent its just like this one. It is a very good beginner and ameteur bike. I would totally recommend this product TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Love the P.2. It was the first real mountain bike I ever owned. I learned how to dirt jump and freeride on it and it took the abuse like a champion. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for this bike!!

 these bikes are amazing there strong not the litest bike but crrtently noy the heaviest great for just messing around if you want one do yourself a favor and go and get one

 Strong, light, and great in the air. The offset of the rear triangle is good for generic hubs, but f*cks up the purpose of singlespeed, wider-flanged hubs..

 i dont know what this specialized p2 is like, the one i'm recommending is the 2005 p2, i have never tried a 2009 one but it looks good

 Rides super smooth, strong durable frame, forks feel pretty good, nice bash guard and chain guide for those of you who arent into single speed DJ/street bikes.
