it great, its thin, it has more grip than any other pedal i've had, slipping off sucks cuz it does have 14 pins on each side so it can hurt but it rarely happens, no bearings and if there is no metal bearings that can fall apart on you messing up the insides of your pedals, it comes in great colors too

thay ar super sick for downhilling and a bit of freeride urban and.......

These pedals have extreme grip! I run the standard pins from straitline around the perimeter of the pedal and grub screws in the centre to give that true dual concave grip. NO maintenance, No hassles. I installed them, loctited the pins and haven't touched them since. amazing! They also look incredible, best pedals i've ever had. I say all of this one day after a big pedal slip that put two deep (real deep) groves in my leg that are now held together with butterfly stitches. They will eat you alive if your not careful. Be warned!! hurts way more than any grub screw pedal slip!

I will never ride another pedal again. They look sick. There super sleek and weight wise you cant go wrong. The sealed bearing system is great and easy to service. With my set of 5/10 shoes it feels like I'm clipped in. Only downside is you need to install the pins, but it is well worth 15 minutes out of your day.

Sick! They are the best platform pedals on the market! Also easy to take apart! Your shoes will grip to these bad boys like no other, and I recommend you wear some shin guards if your going big! You do not want this pedal digging into your shins, it will hurt, and you will always have a scar to remember it!

I have been on a set of these beauties for over two seasons of ripping and they are still mint. Super easy to maintain, tough as hell, no lost or even bent pins!! Total of 20 min spent over hauling em at the end of each wet season. Dead simple. Awesome traction, cool company
to deal with. 100% canadian eh.

Grip is exceptional, run smoothly without maintainance and when they need it it takes less than 10minutes to get them back to new condition. I smashed my first pair into more rocks than was good for them and nothing broke, tore a few pins out and the threads stayed. Build quality and looks are both excellent. only pedal that works as well is Burgtecs, but they cost at least 60% more and they are not only heavier but also offer no improvement on the grip offered here!

So good i have had 2 pairs now and view them as a must have for all future builds!

Any one else have problems with the hex pins falling out for no reason even though I tighten them as tight as it would go with a wrench, and about 2 on both left and right and bottom and top sides fell off and they don't even give you spares I think I must of gotten a bad pair but this shouldn't of happend. I'am really disapointed.

My god, got those on my intense M6 and they are the best pedals i've ever had!!! Amazing grip with 5/10 shoes!!!
No bearing at all, removing a huge problem. extremely easy to grease.
Very strong even after hitting stones, lost no pins ( don't forget the blue loctite)
got no play!

The best pedals money can buy and humans can make, Fact!
Light, amazing grip the easyest pedals to service .... ever. you can even get "Sharp" pins over the standard. however will wear out faster if you use them for trail riding as there are no bearings and run on nylon bushes>

They last for ages and are nice and bigger - more grip and less foot fatigue. They are great. Shed mud well... the only gripe would be the pins can get damaged and then you can't remove them... but why would you need to anyway?!

i can't ask for more in this pedal it is so easy to pull a no fotter because they are so flat and a big surface area plus the berrings are really stiff not only that they look pimped out with all the coulours, the best pedals out there.

Super smooth, and impervious to contamination. They don't get that "PLAY" that the other brands with ball bearings do.

Grippiest pedals I've ever tried, no comparison, but, WEAR SHIN GAURDS! They bite.

Made on Vancouver Island!!!

These pedals not only look nice but the are strong as f*ck and, dont spin when you foot comes off and rape your legs, The pins are strong and never come out and they are replaceable so no big deal if they go missing. But most important your food does not come off. Buy them if you have the cash

Very reasonable weight, strong, more grip you simply don't need, easy to maintain, completely foolproof. I run 2 set's on my Amp and Scythe and love them, they give a nice wide solid platform. Retention system is nuts, no threads to damage(only the c-clip can go flying, carefull must be taken so you don't knock someones eye out) Highly recommended!

The best pedals I've ever ridden!! Machine work is incredible, and the pedals have a great feel to them. Amazingly grippy, though not too grippy to not be able to take your feet off. They work great for downhill and help that much more when trying to stick pedals on your newest tricks! Did I mention they look like works of art? Super durable! Just make sure you're wearing shin guards!

Hands down the best platform out there. Obsurd grip. Use these pedals and five tens and you'll never slip a pedal. I never have in the two years of owning them. They may not be the thinnest, or the lightest but in terms of craftmanship, durability and grip nothing comes close. Highly recommend these pedals. Straitline is an awesome company and has amazing custmomer service.

Love these pedals! They aren't kidding when you don't need much to service them. Mine came nice and stiff. With a little use they broke in and those pedals stay where you left them(If your going for trick use). With the help of those little nylon shims you can make them even stiffer. Under your body weight they rotate freely as if they weren't there. (big plus-no one wants to fight their pedals). For the amount of surface area these pedals provide, they are very (relatively) light. Did i mention: THE MACHINING IS BEAUTIFUL! How they got the pedal to be that thin and stay strong is short of a miracle. Looks great on my bike. I mainly use mine for all mountain but I take them with on free ride vacation to the Rockies, cause I can't part with the grippiest pedals I've ever owned. Using all the pegs might be overkill. Not sure yet, but they feel like im Clipped in which is awesome. All this great stuff has its downfall. $$$, pretty pricy but I dont see myself having to replace these any time soon. And theyre only $60 more than the mainstream flats. Overall 5/5 for use and 4/5 for price relative to other high end flats.I also (if and when i can) want to buy stuff that isnt made overseas. MADE IN CANADA EH!

Very sturdy set of pedals. I bought the red pair, and must say the design and color job are both great! Having replaceable studs is nice, though I don't see any coming out in the foreseeable future. The rebuild process is quite simple, and they have some easy to follow videos on youtube incase you need extra help besides the manual.
I'd highly recommend these pedals if you're looking for platforms that are extremely well designed, have no slippage and are easily rebuildable.

I like that these oedals have a lot of realestate for your peids and that the pin pattern is customizable. color selection is sweet and the weight is low. The bushings are smooth under pedaling and tight enough that they dont go spinning like mad when you no foot! great buy!

These pedals are boss! I have ridden them a bunch of times on my homies bikes and I absolutely love them I've only had one minor problem and that was one of the pins falling out of the pedal and popping my rear tire which sounds really proposterous but it did happen and im a million percent sure that will never happen again and it was probably karma but I can assure the world I will be getting some of these as soon as my 5050's get too trashed to use!! Bottom line these are the best top of the line pedals I've ever used

Best Pedal ever. Running 3 sets. non-free spinning is a life saver. Easy to find pedal after dab. Great traction. Gorgeous. Easy rebuild. Parts available. Bugs the shit out of me that they call the double poodle clip "double redundant". Those words mean the same thing dammit. It was almost enough of a stupid flag that I avoided the pedals for few years despite the highest recommendations. For down hill I use steel meathooks because these things just don;t deserve that kind of abuse.

 Great pedals!
The platform is wide and very burly!
Best yet is how easy and simple they are to overhaul.
The bushing system is really effective and has a unique ride.
They can feel stiff when compared to bearing systems with your hand but,
Out on the trial its smooth as can be!
RideOn!

Straitline Platform Pedals (MSRP $160) — Straitline pedals have been heavily refined over the years with the help of Jeff Lenosky. Our primary goal was to produce a pedal that was simple, tough, and sexy. They are so simple they can be completely rebuilt in under ten minutes using nothing more than a screwdriver. The Double Redundant Retention System is the most secure retention system on the market, and our new 6 sided hex pins are so grippy you will think you are riding clipless. These are the pedals of choice for such top athletes as Jeff Lenosky, Ryan Berrecloth, Kurtis Sorge Dylan Tremblay and Casey Groves.
