Scott Sports Replaces its CEO in "Refresh"
Never like to see a sports company headed by an investment banker… nothing says we care less about what we’re doing and more about making money than that.

Tech Briefing: Limited Edition Bikes & Saddles, Carbon Wheels & More
@tom666: I agree with you on this. Our consumer culture has gotten out of control. We’ve been programmed for that little dopamine hit that getting a new flashy bike/computer/phone/whatever provides. Then a week into use we’re like well it’s still a bike and I’m having fun but no more fun than my last bike. I think as consumers we can make the biggest impact here by simply stopping. Be grateful for what you’ve got. Just get out and ride and forget about the rat race happening around you. That’s what it’s all about anyway. Brands will naturally slow down and honestly should.

Pinkbike Poll: What Are Your Must-Have Features On a New Mountain Bike?
The solution is simple guys. Stop buying bikes. We all on this site more than likely have a perfectly serviceable bike. I’ve been in the mindset of I need the newest latest and greatest but the reality is I just have fun riding bikes. Force the bike industry to lower prices by just being happy with what you’ve got. You’re going to have fun no matter what. After a few months/year of us telling the bike industry they’re too expensive they’ll get the message.

Review: DVO Onyx SC D1 Enduro Fork
I own this fork… as a 200 pound guy I can confirm this review pretty much sums up how I feel about the fork. I’ve been tweaking it for ages and even with the awesome tech support from dvo I either have to sacrifice mid stroke support or sensitivity, can’t have both as a heavier rider with this one. Which really sucks to have made such a huge purchase that I regret.

I think we need a counter lawsuit from MRP… they did this before Fox.

Throwback Thursday: How Much Have Mountain Bike Prices Changed in the Past 10 Years?
One thing this article failed to mention is how easy it was to find deeply discounted quality bikes and parts 10 years ago. Finding a good deal is getting much harder. For example Jenson USA used to have pages of bikes to scroll through with discounts over 30% now they have a couple for around 10%.

Revenue Round Up: Another Quarter of Big Growth for the Bike Industry with Warning Signs on the Horizon
@jdendy: I uninstalled as soon as they asked for a subscription. It’s actually been very nice not to map rides, worry about comparing to others and just getting out and focusing on the fun.
