AS much as the video kicks ass I also think that it's just epic what came from this. Even up here in Canada our news isn't doom and gloom and murder murder murder , I had no idea what this place went through and it's fascinating to research something that no one really has an explanation to the phenomenon besides the fact that mother nature can be a hairy c*nt. Danny keep on making these vids cause your riding blows minds and can be somewhat educational at the same time

Video: Ten Years Old
It has nothing to do with money. Every sport costs a fortune to play every year, hockey , football , gymnastics , dance etc etc... It has everything to do with what you decide to invest your money into and if you do things right you let the kids choose and not force it down their throats to the point they quit and you wasted all that money. if it's what they want to do regardless of natural talent or just plain old dedication and desire than no cost is too much.

Pinkbike Poll: The Local Bike Shop
I have have my local LBS that I consistenly shop at. I am guilty of the occasional online shopping but I also use those prices as negotiating points with my LBS and they always try to keep the business in house as much as possible. Any good LBS will try to bargain with you to keep the sales within , they can't always match prices but when it is a "dummy" piece of equipment ( seats , handlebars , shifters etc...) so online might be the better deal. But when it comes to a piece of equipment that requires servicing (shocks as an example as I always send them em instead of doint it myself) then a LBS is priceless in my mind as they have the expertise that can't be matched by the trolls who think they know everything. Support your LBS as much as possible as they are the ones responsible for working with trail associations and the government in obtaining/maintaining and building new trails for the ENTIRE mtb bike community (enduro , road , downhill , freeride xc etc..!!!) The Cyclepath in Calgary , Alberta is my shop and always will be!!!
