Video: Aaron Gwin Blazes a Trail
I'm actually glad he wasn't his too humble self at the end, and admitted he's the guy to beat. He also didn't say it in a cocky way. It shows he's proud of where he's at and the hard work he's put in. I just liked him admitting it and he isn't even in my top 5 favourite riders so I'm not being biased.
There's just no denying he's on that little higher level to everybody else. Mentally, physically and his skill.
He also looks sick on a demo.

Man , I had no idea he nearly died when he broke his hip. But to come back from that , especially when the doctors tell you don't ride again , that's unbelievable.
If he died I actually think I'd cry.

This is a great article , for all mountain bikers but I feel it's especially important for people who call us crazy and don't ride or don't let their kids ride because it looks dangerous.
It's no where near as dangerous as some people make it seem , we work our way up to it like he said it the article , we don't just jump straight into 50 foot hucks and steep technical sections. They don't see what goes on behind the scenes. Yeh the sport has risk but as he said , it's calculated risk.
Someone should find a website for walkers and post this so they know , we know what we're doing ....... Most of the time.
