Interview: The Athertons - "If People Want Gee’s Fort William Race Bike, We Can Make it for Them"
Really interesting direction they're going in with customisable frames, and being able to tailor the bike to each track will give them a huge advantage on the world cup circuit. However metal 3D printing, particularly in titanium, is such an astronomically expensive process that I fear their bikes may be far out of reach for the average consumer... Great to see some proper innovation in a frame for once though!

Commencal Furious, size S/M

$500 GBP
Hi Guys, selling my 2008 Commencal Furious in a lovely teal hue :P I'll be sad to see it go, but I'm looking for something that's a bit more willing to go uphill! This bike was only made in sizes short and long, so it would fit anyone who's normally a medium. I'm 5'11" and I feel perfectly comfortable on it :) It's a superb bike and I've had so much fun on it :) It'd be great as a first foray into downhill as it's absolutely bombproof so could handle all the rough stuff and any mistakes you make - cased jumps, drops to flat, it's got your back :P To that effect, I'm going to buy a Commencal for my next bike as it's been so reliable :) Of course I'll give it a clean it before pickup ;) The spec: Fork: 2012 Rockshox Domain RC (A huge improvement over the Marzocchi 55 RCV it replaced) Shock: Marzocchi Roco R (There is a tiny bit of play in the front bushing but you can't notice it at all on the trail. It doesn't bother me and I'd normally be pretty anal about that sort of stuff :P) Brakes: Shimano Deore, 200mm Rotors front & rear Wheels: Sun Ringle Single Track with Commencal hubs Tyres: Schwalbe Big Betty (Pretty much fresh) Drivetrain: Sram X5 rear derailleur (virtually new) and shifter Crankset: Truvativ Holzfeller Magnesium Pedals Chainguide: MRP G2 Seatpost: Easton Saddle: Charge Spoon Headset: Cane Creek XIIX (Virtually brand new bearings) Stem: Truvativ Holzfeller Grips: Superstar Excel Thanks Guys! Fergus
