I don't just ride mountain bikes on trails anymore. I ride Enduro. It's basically the same except knee pads are mandatory.

A rule of the thumb for Enduro is if you ride in some kind of half-lid, you ride goggles or nothing - glasses are XC only - It is an Enduro version of Blenki the Gloveless. Stones, mud and hanging branches shall not get into your eyes. The spirit of Enduro will protect you. Then make sure not to shave too often, mustache gives you instant props, any sort of wierd face hair cut is even better. Shaved legs are allowed but only if you are faster than the hairy guy. Moto/DH jerseys are forbidden, it is recommended to have something plain, preferably eco materials from a company no one ever heard of. XC jersey with DH shorts is a standard. Opt for at least one piece of clothing that has plain flashy surface, like lime green, blue, orange you know: POC kind of sht.

And Remember: the ride never happened unless it was documented on Strava, digitally recorded via GoPro and uploaded to Facebook.

If there is a trail in the wood and no one Starva's it does it exist?

 haha ! Now it's philosophical

What if someone hacks your Strava, programs super slow rides that never happened, then records and posts them to humiliate you? Hah! You will never feel safe with it again!
  • 10 1
Has someone ever heard of someone using Strava and riding in the large open field to draw a figure of a penis? I'm thinking of getting that App for the sole purpose of doing it. Strava art, I'm for it

Come on, stop that enduro hating, and enjoy a great free digimag in which some people put a lot of effort.

Agreed! Love the magazine. Layout is pretty good and I really like the way it all moves about on the screen. Some may prefare a PDF, but I really like the interactive arty nature of it all! Seems to be the main point of it not being printed!

You must know that anything that involves XC or any kind of pedaling will be hated. Specially on a website were must of subscribers are potheads or drunks who can only go downhill, and anything that involves any kind of endurance must die...
  • 3 0
"potheads or drunks who can only go downhill, and anything that involves any kind of endurance must die..." that description fits me quite well, too, but I still pay respect to the guys who put a lot of work into publishing this mag. These guys run the mag41 digimag before, which was also more gravity oriented. So they are probably easy going dudes as well.
  • 3 0
Hey " potheads or drunks " is no way to talk on pinkbike about my mom , and for the record she prefers " organic wino" thank you very much !

Tjet - no sea pendejo.

I guess someone woke up with a hangover, or ran out of dope. I'll take it back, I should of said "must people in this site don't even ride, except for the web or dreams while high... Bobolon montate aquí y correte este.... One38 respects to your comment, and your coolness about it. I'm a drunk pothead my self. Lol, Just enjoy my uphills as much as my downhills, a lot.. just being sarcastic at the Enduro hate ,but some monkeys don't get that..

I hate this new online reader!!!
It was much, much better when it was in PDF. Does anyone else find new online viewer annoying ?

From a quick glance, although it takes a bit of navigating I like this format. Have you ever tried to read an online edition of Decline? Sweet jesus thats an online mag I struggle to get through.

But what if I ride an enduro bike (specialized enduro) but only ride on trails and occasionally in the bike park strictly for my own enjoyment? I'm so confused... Am I now an enduro poser as well? I wear glasses with my half lid, not goggles, so I should be ok right? Right? But wait, my enduro has 29" wheels!! Oh man, I'm so conflicted.
  • 1 1
Your bike is called "Enduro", it might have 24" wheels and you'll still get lots of attention.

Yesterday, I went on an "Epic" ride on my AM/Enduro bike on a DH trail. I'm a "Transcyclist". I'm coining that phrase and I will be the next to cash in on what we used to call mountain biking.
  • 6 3
I love this new new "Enduro" it's just like mountain biking only it's on a mountain bike.
  • 5 2
It's time to think about the future here. Enduro is here for good. The only non-hyped kind of MTB left is the segment of trail bikes between 100-140mm of travel, like TR Bandit or Blur Tr. There is simply no GLOBAL racing format that utilizes those bikes, therefore, no channel to hype it up. I just realized that people riding such bikes should unite and form a racing format (with appropriate clothing and gear off course...) or we are sentenced for being MTB hipsters for coming 5 years or more!

I can already see it on trails: so that bike of yours... it's not an Enduro bike, but it's ain't XC either? It's like an XC bike with big fork? So you can't shred like Enduro bikes and you can't uphill well either? That makes no sense dude... buy a 6" bike, you can do everything with it

I just think this "Enduro" word is getting hilarious. Like it's really a "discipline". They have nobody fooled. This is mountain biking. These "enduro" bikes fully resemble what my buddies and I have been riding for years. Tough, long legged trail bikes with big tires. Enduro is cool, I like the idea of racing all mountain bikes and I like the it shed's light on the fact that being "over-biked" sucks. But this term- this "Enduro" thing, with special endure wheels, special enduro gear... ect ect.... it's embarrassing.

That's why I wrote about capitilizing. It is Capitilizing and making it more entertaining. Quite honestly, EWS is great, what I personaly feel is that there is no bloody way I can find ANY relation between EWS/ Super Enduro and the riding I was always doing. Having said that I think that many who find it, fool themselves, and to them industry addresses those "new" products. I haven't been to any venue but I see clearly from the recaps that this shit is way gnarlier and way more intense than anything I've ever done.

Then to remain fair, I think it has it's positive side, because racing will sort out what's bullshit and what isn't, just as it happens with 26" vs 650B now. BS will never disappear but people already got a point of reference. I am sure that there will be good "Enduro" labeled products that will be very useful for all of us (proper mountain bikers haha! - JK) and they will come to us earlier than if "Enduro" wasn't here. Wide & light rims, new casings, new droppers, maybe even the gearbox! I think XX1 (or single ring setups in general), Clutch mechs, Sram trail brakes, would not be here without pliable ground.
  • 5 0
Agreed on the positives but also the gnarlyness, anyone else feel that the Whistler Enduro looked Gnarlier than the DH races? To me the DH looked tame by comparison (admittedly only from TV).
  • 2 2
You kids are confused. You're talking about AM bikes/riding. Enduro is racing.

Couple of quick questions.... Do you have to be clipped in to be a real Enduro-ist? Cause I really like my HT AEO3's... and, I noticed the guy on the Blue Haibike picture has a 75 or 90mm stem, is that allowed in Enduro?
BTW, This is f*cking hilarious!
