Fort William Pit Walk - Day 1
I don't get what she's measuring anyway? Top tube length? That's hardly going to change in shipping!

Giant Anthem X3 (Large) with upgrades

$1100 GPB
Sadly having to sell my beloved Giant Anthem X3. 2010 model, the frame essentially hasn't changed since then minus a tapered head tube and BB30, but the geometry is the same. Superb to ride, super smooth and fast, a really great all rounder. Climbs and pedals well, but has happily descended nearly everything I've ever thrown at it, natural and man made! Started with a standard large framed Giant Anthem X3 at £1800, but has had a considerable amount of upgrades. Standard Equipment: Large Frame Fox 32 F100 RL fork Fox RP2 Shock SLX Shifters SLX Cranks XT Rear mech Upgrades: Red Superstar Switch Evo hubs with Stans Crest rims. Super light weight wheels, tubeless ready, the best aluminium rim money can buy. Hubs have upgraded 10mm/9mm QR's (rather than standard 6mm), which stiffens things up a fair amount. Avid Elixir CR brakes in matching black and red, with 180mm rotors. Easily powerful enough to stop a 15 stone me. Maxxis Ardent tyre on the front with a Maxxis Aspen on the rear. Loads of tread left. Once again, top quality tyres, perfect for this bike. Shimano XTR front mech. Shimano XT Bottom Bracket ODI Extreme grips. KMC 9spd gold chain. Got a few hundred miles left in it. FSA seatpost. Not really an upgrade but it does match the frame better in gloss black compared to the stock one. Hope QR seat clamp in red. Fizik Gobi saddle, in maroon. Specialized 70mm stem. Colour does not match I admit but it does improve the ride over the stock 110mm. As you can see I've taken an already great bike and added some even better kit. The wheels are only about 10 rides old and really change the bike for the good. The bad: This bike has been ridden, not a massive amount recently, but it's not been shoved in my shed and forgotten about it. This does mean it shows some wear and tear. The paintwork in a few areas has been rubbed off, it is purely cosmetic and the fault of a poor quality bike rack (which was thrown out as soon as I found the paint problems). Also, the bars shown in the pictures are not the ones I want to sell with the bike. Not only does the white not suit the bike, the rise is too high really. They were just on after a bit of an experiment. The cranks also show rubbing from my shoes, as you'd expect from a ridden bike. All damage is shown in pictures. On the plus side all the frame bearings have recently been replaced so the suspension is silky smooth and the Fox 32 fork has had a recent oil change (riding hours, not time). It's well looked after in a warm shed and has been treated and maintained to a high standard by both myself and my LBS. If anyone chooses to buy, I will give the bike a full once over, change the cables and make it perfect for you to have as much enjoyment as I have done in the last few years.

The angle of the photos and the green forests just remind me of the seasons from LifeCycles.

Huge terrain. The dolomites are such striking mountains with their sharp rocky peaks, it must be incredible to be able to ride amongst them.

More bikes with this sort of colour please! So refreshing to see a bike that isn't black, gloss black, matte black or any other shade of black
